The Haunted Youth is the project led by Belgian songwriter Joachim Liebens, built on dream pop haze, reverb-heavy guitars and that bittersweet indie rock pulse that sticks to your skin. After breaking through with Teen Rebel and the debut album Dawn of the Freak, Liebens kept pushing his sound beyond bedroom melancholy into something sharper, more direct, still wrapped in soft-focus textures.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2026, The Haunted Youth brings that tension to Stereo in Glasgow, touring around the release of their second album Boys Cry Too. The new songs lean into emotional friction: long, slow builds that suddenly crack open, bursts of feedback, punk-leaning crunch, and quieter moments where the vocals feel close enough to hear the breath. It’s a set designed for people who like their melodies sweet but their edges rough, with a live band ready to turn those layered studio tracks into something louder, rawer, and immediate.
