Dea Matrona is, first and foremost, a story of encounters and on-the-ground experience. Mollie McGinn and Orláith Forsythe meet very young in a Gaelic-language singing contest, then end up playing together in the streets of Belfast, with the raw energy of street busking. From this, a rock duo emerges led by two voices, instruments swapped as the songs go by, and a way of moving forward without detours, building their sound on stage, night after night. Their path was forged hard and entirely autonomously: repeated gigs, self-financed outings, audiences won through direct contact. In 2024, their debut album For Your Sins marks a clear milestone, between nerve-wracking rock, catchy melodies, and a taste for genre-blending without posturing. After notable appearances on big stages and supporting tours, Dea Matrona arrives in Berlin to play at the Lido on March 15, 2027, with the same road-forged intensity.
