On October 21, 2026, Horse Jumper of Love take over The Great Hall in Toronto to play their self-titled debut album in full. Formed in Boston in 2013, the trio has built its world on a hazy, slow-burn indie rock where slowcore restraint meets slacker looseness and a touch of shoegaze blur. Thick guitars, tempos that hold back, and vocals kept just behind the mix: everything works in that half-lit space where melodies repeat, shift a little, and hit harder because they don’t rush.
Hearing the 2016 debut front to back is a chance to catch the band’s foundation before later records widened the frame. Over the years, they’ve pushed that same soft tension into sharper shoegaze edges and richer dynamics, without losing the introspective pulse that makes their songs linger.
