Lebanon Hanover is the meeting of Larissa Iceglass and William Maybelline, a duo that goes against the grain with a minimalist cold wave and taut post-punk, nourished by the shadows of the 1980s. Between mechanical rigor and dry melancholy, their tracks rest on hypnotic basslines, crisp rhythms, razor-sharp guitars, and vocals that are deliberately detached, sometimes interwoven with a few German words.
Their universe is written as much in a certain idea of modern romance as in nocturnal landscapes: the British coastline, forests, Art Nouveau, and the urban fabric of Berlin as a backdrop. From The World Is Getting Colder to Sci Fi Sky, the duo has refined a spare aesthetic, with just enough synths to widen the space without losing the tension.
