Anna Andreu: We Must Make the Sky Even More Immense, The Last Vigil
Achieving solid simplicity, in form and format, is Anna Andreu's virtue, which, in a short time, has established herself as one of the voices of contemporary Catalan and Mediterranean song. Through fables, poetry, and a costumbrist imaginary marked by refined sensitivity, she turns the atomic and delicate into something bold and solemn.
With her inseparable drum kit, violin, synthesizers, and partner Marina Arrufat, they released in 2025 the songs of Vigilia. A songbook that explores the concepts of nocturnal tension, the vigil, the latent waiting for an important event, thoughts before sleep, and a paradoxically radiant darkness that allows us to understand everything with clarity.
Nominated for the MIN Awards and the Alicia Awards, and with the Núvol Awards prize, her album is already a timeless classic. And there is no doubt that this happened in the live setting: it is where the Vigilia show catalyzes the stage space and the interpretive merit of Andreu and Arrufat, and where these songs have become permanently popular through the communion with an audience that has become devoted.
After nearly two years of endless vigils, the show arrives at Sala Apolo as its finale. The last night of the project: a tour finale, with friends who will be announced later, to confirm that, in latent waiting and the seemingly confusing dream, clarity takes its place in the form of memory, experiences, and also endings.
