Info
On 23 July 2026, Wiley lands at Phonox in London for a rare, up-close set that puts the mic front and centre. Born in Bow, East London, Richard Cowie helped shape grime from the start, coming up through pirate radio and crews like Pay As U Go and Roll Deep before carving out his own lane as both MC and producer.
He’s the architect behind a run of early instrumentals that defined the colder, minimal “eskibeat” sound, with tracks like “Eskimo”, “Ice Rink” and “Avalanche” setting the blueprint for a whole generation. As an MC, Wiley’s style stays sharp and restless, pulling from UK garage, hip-hop, jungle and drum and bass without smoothing the edges.
Across albums from Treddin’ on Thin Ice to the Godfather series, plus big crossover moments like “Wearing My Rolex”, he’s kept moving between raw grime energy and wider club-ready cuts. Expect a set that leans on presence, bars and history, delivered right in the room.
