The 5.6.7.8's
+ special guests
While their international exposure was a cameo in the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill, The 5.6.7.8's are much more than one-hit wonders, bearing the distinction of being one of the longest-running Japanese garage rock groups. The 5.6.7.8's is the brainchild of sisters Ronnie "Yoshiko" Fugiyama and Fujii Sachiko, the band were formed in 1986 at the height of the garage rock craze that swept through Tokyo at that time.
Notable singles released since the debut Mondo Girls A-Go-Go EP in 1989 include I Was A Teenage Cave Woman (1991), I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield (1993), Bomb The Twist (1996), Pin Heel Stomp (1997), and Pretty Little Lily Can Dance No More (2002).
In 2002, Quentin Tarantino overheard The 5.6.7.8's in a record shop and invited them to appear in his 2003 film Kill Bill, where they performed three songs including Woo Hoo, which, once released, reached number 24 in the UK charts.
The 5.6.7.8's will perform at 100 Club in London on 18 October 2026 at 6:30 pm.
