On July 9, 2026, at Commonwealth in Calgary, Le Youth will bring his melodic house with R&B contours. Behind this project, American producer and DJ Wes James has been tracing a clear line since the early 2010s: effective club grooves, a real focus on vocals, and writing conceived as songs, without losing the thread of the set.
Discovered in 2013 with 'C O O L', built around a Cassie sample, he first leaned into direct, catchy house—almost pop—before sliding toward a more progressive and atmospheric register. Today, his music relies on textures, pads, long-building crescendos, and the tension-release dynamic that keeps a set going. This sound is anchored in the album 'Reminders' (2022), a perfect entry point to understanding his approach to making people dance without rushing.
