Based in Oakland, Fantastic Negrito (Xavier Amin Dphrepaulezz) arrives in Germany for a concert on August 28, 2026 at the Music Hall Worpswede in Worpswede. His project, relaunched in the mid-2010s after a long hiatus, rests on a raw and direct blend of blues, soul, rock and a few touches of funk, carried by a raspy voice and a guitar that is very upfront. Since The Last Days of Oakland (2016), he has released albums that preserve this organic tension while widening the spectrum, from Please Don't Be Dead (2018) to Have You Lost Your Mind Yet? (2020), where soul and more psychedelic hues take more space. With White Jesus Black Problems (2022), he pushes the format further into concept-album territory, nourished by familial research and threaded with echoes of gospel, folk and more contemporary rhythms. On stage, it’s all about energy, substance and groove, with no frills.
