If you have been following Dead Poet Society since their early EPs, you know what to expect: tense alternative rock built on heavy riffs, with a blend of grunge, hard rock, and noisier textures that remains clearly legible. Formed in Boston by four musicians who studied at the Berklee College of Music (Jack Underkofler, Jack Collins, Will Goodroad, and Dylan Brenner), the band first honed its formula on Axiom, Weapons, and Dempsey, before moving to a broader format with the album -!- (2021), where the songwriting rests on a tight rhythm section and melodic vocal lines. Later based in Los Angeles, they continued with Fission (2024), playing more with contrasts and more open arrangements, without losing the direct impact. Dead Poet Society will be performing in concert on February 26, 2027, at Gruenspan in Hamburg.
