FORM presents Vienna Vienna on September 14, 2026 at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton, with special guests.
Behind the name Vienna Vienna, James Barre builds a solo project where pop songwriting and stagecraft go hand in hand. As a multi-instrumentalist, he moves through a tight mix of 2000s pop-punk punch, queer pop, soft rock and a hint of glam: melodic, straight-to-the-point songs that balance upfront energy with a more vulnerable undercurrent. His writing often comes from a personal place, shaped by anxiety, identity, desire and self-acceptance, without turning the show into a confessional. Onstage, the performance is part of the music, built for connection and momentum as much as for sound. After growing independently, Vienna Vienna joined PULSE Records, with releases also backed by DCD2. Special guests will open the night.
