As It Is arrives in Portsmouth on September 23, 2026, on the Wedgewood Rooms stage, with that blend of pop punk and emo that has been theirs since their beginnings. Led by Patty Walters, the band delivers track after track with direct, chorus-ready refrains, while maintaining a more tense undertone in the lyrics, exploring doubts, relationships, and mental fatigue. Formed in 2012 and made their name with a string of EPs before Never Happy, Ever After, As It Is has evolved its sound across albums, sometimes leaning toward alternative and heavier touches, without losing the taste for clean melodies and rising crescendos.
