Saxon will be hitting the O2 Apollo in Manchester on 19 February 2027 with their 'Gods Of Thunder' tour. Led by vocalist Biff Byford, the English band remains a pillar of the NWOBHM and continues to champion a no-nonsense heavy metal, forged from riffs and choruses, with no frills. Since their late-70s beginnings, Saxon has built its identity on solid tempos and songwriting that ranges from working-class life to grand narratives of history and war, including biker imagery. On stage, you can expect a set that spans the era's classics—Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm of the Law, and Denim and Leather—while also leaving room for newer albums such as Carpe Diem and Hell, Fire and Damnation.
