Born in Lagos and raised in Chicago, Tobi Adeyemi has built his own lane since the mid-2010s, blending pop rap, contemporary R&B and soul-leaning hip-hop with a loose, sung-and-rap delivery. The “tobi lou and the…” EP run in 2018 helped define his writing: everyday details, relationships, doubts, and that light-on-its-feet tone that hits harder than it looks.
