Info
Turnover lands in Edmonton on November 22, 2026 for a show at Pawn Shop Live, delivering their signature blend of emo, indie rock and dream pop. The band formed in Virginia Beach in 2009 around Austin Getz, bassist Danny Dempsey, and Casey Getz. They first emerged in a direct, punchy pop-punk/emo sound, before evolving their sound across subsequent records. After Magnolia (2013), still taut and catchy, the shift became evident on Peripheral Vision (2015): slower tempos, guitars that blur in the air, melancholic melodies that unfold at their own pace. The follow-up extends this more open approach, from Good Nature (2017) to Altogether (2019), then Myself in the Way (2022), broadening the palette toward a more flexible pop-rock, without losing the taste for introspective choruses. On stage, Turnover plays with contrasts: restrained energy, textures and gradual build, like a live set built up layer by layer.
