Info

Polyphia set up their amps at Great Canadian in Toronto (Ontario) on September 29, 2026, with their ultra-precise blend of instrumental metal, prog, hip-hop, funk and electronic touches. Led by guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, supported by Clay Gober on bass and Clay Aeschliman on drums, the quartet built its online presence before refining, disc after disc, an approach to writing made of trap rhythms, sculpted riffs and melodies that cut through the air. From early shred-inspired bursts to the more hybrid textures of Remember That You Will Die, Polyphia plays on contrasts and the finesse of sound, with a groove that makes virtuosity feel fluid.

Intervals opens the evening. The project of Canadian guitarist Aaron Marshall sits within technical and melodic prog metal, between djent, fusion and more airy passages. From foundational EPs to albums like The Shape of Colour or Circadian, Intervals works on precision, riff architectures and harmonies, with instrumental writing conceived as a narrative.

RJ Pasin rounds out the bill with a more direct set, fueled by metalcore, hyperpop, Jersey drill and R&B. Lead guitar upfront, highly textured production and rapid changes in register: a sound built on oppositions, notably highlighted by the track "Lobster".
