Diff'art presents: The Last Internationale
The Last Internationale is, above all, the story of a meeting — that of the two members of the group, who met through a mutual friend. Soon, they discover a passion for blues and folk artists and scour record shops in search of little-known gems. The duo then begins to write protest songs, songs with socially engaged lyrics, drawing inspiration from the artists they admire. The band's name comes easily, a reference to the Internationale that they find coherent with the messages carried by their songs. Composed of singer Delila Paz and guitarist Edgey Pires, the group is steeped in blues, raw rock, and folk. Inspirations drawn from musical legends such as Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan and Rage Against the Machine, with a modern twist that is uniquely theirs. The Last Internationale stands out for its poignant and deep lyrics, often centered on social struggles, justice and the injustices of the world. Although often perceived as having a militant approach, its message goes beyond simple political demands to a form of personal and collective liberation.
