Info
On 24 November 2026, Kingfishr lands at Sala Apolo in Barcelona with their Irish-rooted folk-indie. Formed in Limerick during college, the trio — Eddie Keogh on vocals and guitar, together with McGoo and Fitz — have been honing a sound built around acoustic guitars up front, restrained percussion and vocal harmonies that add layers without losing clarity. Their songs revolve around landscapes, family ties and the move into adulthood, with a blend of melodic folk and touches of alternative rock and indie-pop that has steadily opened doors for them.
Live, Kingfishr works with dynamics that grow from track to track: intimate openings, expansive choruses and endings that swell without excess. Songs like "Flowers-Fire" and "Anyway" illustrate that palette well, between Keogh’s warm voice and arrangements that prioritize the song over embellishment. After playing venues across Ireland and the UK and appearing at festivals, the band arrives in Barcelona with a set designed for the live stage — direct and unadorned, focused on composition and vocal blend. A good opportunity to hear up close a trio that builds its identity single by single and that finds its strongest ground on stage.
