Info
On 3 November 2026 Matthew Mole plays Cirque Royal in Brussels. The South African singer‑songwriter from Cape Town moves smoothly between folk, pop and subtle electronics. Since his debut The Home We Built he has worked with acoustic guitar, repetitive rhythms and instantly memorable melodies, further developed on Run and Ghost where the production takes on a slightly more electronic hue. Live he is often alone, but he builds his songs layer by layer: guitar as the base, percussive patterns underfoot, the occasional synth line and multi‑part vocals that push the whole toward a band sound.
His set balances intimate stories and energetic passages, with themes around relationships, faith and everyday observations. It shifts easily from small, almost‑whispered verses to choruses that breathe more expansively, without losing the organic feel. Expect a compact, rhythmic show where timing and dynamics carry the songs, with room for looping moments and reinterpretations of older and newer tracks. Cirque Royal, Brussels, 3 November 2026: Matthew Mole in full folk‑pop mode, up close and direct.
