Info
Ariel Posen comes to the Artheater in Cologne on February 24, 2027, with his Bannatyne Tour. The Winnipeg-born musician moves between roots rock, blues, folk and soul, relying on a melodic slide guitar that tells a story rather than shines. On stage, flashy effects aren’t the focus; instead, songs that take their time: ballads with room to breathe, warmly lit sonic landscapes, and pieces that grow through groove and subtle dynamics.
Since his beginnings as a guitarist with The Bros. Landreth, Posen has consistently developed his own distinctive style, and as a solo artist he places greater emphasis on voice, arrangements and songwriting. Those who hear him will encounter a range—from restrained and atmospheric to direct and rhythmic—always with that tone rich in detail, in which the guitar carries the melody and holds the songs together.
