Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson brings a stripped-back set and signing to Rough Trade East on 5 August 2026. The Montreal-born singer, composer and bandleader has been shaping a distinctive blend of chamber pop and indie folk since the early 2000s. With his eponymous group, he debuted with Just Another Ordinary Day before breaking through with Close to Paradise, which received the Polaris Prize in 2007. Albums like Wooden Arms and Adventures in Your Own Backyard broadened his palette, weaving piano, strings and understated electronics into finely drawn songs.
