Alela Diane

On 5 November 2026, Alela Diane will perform at the Noumatrouff in Mulhouse. A Californian singer-songwriter shaped by a musical childhood in Nevada City, she has sketched since the early 2000s a clear line between intimate folk and acoustic songwriting, carried by a voice that seeks the essential. From The Pirate’s Gospel to To Be Still, she laid the foundations of a spare repertoire, before a more electric, collective interlude with Alela Diane & Wild Divine. She then returned to a more pared-back songwriting on About Farewell, and explored instrumental textures in duet on Cold Moon with Ryan Francesconi. Cusp and Looking Glass have since broadened her palette, between folk ballads, subtle country touches, and piano and strings in support.

On stage, Alela Diane favors closeness and compact formats. In Mulhouse she will highlight this direct relationship with the audience, guitar slung over her shoulder, drawing on both her recent albums and her earliest songs.
