Lio

Brought to prominence by her single "Banana Split", Lio is a leading figure in Francophone pop. The release of "Banana Split" in 1979 paved the way for songs such as "Amoureux solitaires", "Amicalement vôtre" and "Week-end à Rome", a duet with Étienne Daho. With 11 albums to her name, she returns with a 12th studio album, Geoid Party in the Sky.

This record was born from a desire to return to her early musical roots and to pay tribute to the encounters life has given her. It also honors the meetings of her career. Lio calls on artists from the new pop generation: Louane, Hoshi, Corine, Isia Marie, Betta Lemme, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Marie Darrieussecq and Sofia Portanet, who have written for the Belgian–Portuguese artist. Each song is built around an encounter and the passing on of experience, and addresses themes shared by women of different generations.
