Info
Lio, revealed by her single "Banana Split," is a figure of francophone pop. The release of "Banana Split" in 1979 paved the way for a string of hits such as "Amoureux solitaires," "Amicalement vôtre" and "Week-end à Rome," a duet with Étienne Daho. With 11 albums to her name, Lio has released a 12th studio album: Geoid Party in the Sky. The record was born from a desire to return to her first loves and to pay tribute to the memorable encounters life has given her.
Above all, her new project is enriched by the memorable encounters of her career. Lio therefore called on several names from the new pop generation: Louane, Hoshi, Corine, Isia Marie, Betta Lemme, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Marie Darrieussecq and Sofia Portanet have all agreed to write for the Belgian‑Portuguese artist. Each text is built around an encounter and a transmission, and addresses themes common to women of all generations.
