Whipped #4 with RUIZ OSC1 at Den Anden Side on Friday, June 26.

For June, we present an old friend of the club: the Colombian vinyl DJ RUIZ OSC1, with her distinctive folkloric techno sound. She is supported by Dico Nemus for the closing, and Gavnlig, who is presenting the techno end of her repertoire. Gavnlig will also open the night from 21h30 with the first edition of our new music producer listening and feedback sessions, "All Ears".

Whipped is a hypnotic techno party focused on detail, texture, and skill. Stripped back and rhythmic.

Within the Whipped concept, we present an international sound, bringing both newer names and established artists to Den Anden Side, combined with a strong local scene.

RUIZ OSC1
Erika Andrea Murcia Ruiz, known as RUIZ OSC1, is a Colombian DJ and producer from Bogotá, known for her vinyl technique and a blended sound. She has performed at venues including Bassiani, Vent (Tokyo), Basement (New York), RSO, FOLD, and Tresor, along with appearances at Intercell, Vault Sessions, and showcases for Mutual Rytm and Technics.

RUIZ OSC1 draws inspiration from her mother, a singer and music reseller, who introduced her to salsa, merengue, and Colombian folklore during her upbringing in the late '80s and early '90s. After relocating to Europe in 2010, she began blending these rhythmic traditions with contemporary electronic elements, creating a sound she defines as "folkloric techno".
