Unité.22 X After Marsatac : Applause Show

Unité.22 opens its doors at the Marsatac festival for afterparties for those who still want more after Borély.

On Friday, the Applause label kicks off the festivities, and for the occasion Matteo of Chinese Man invites his new‑gen crew Lorkestra, Artem and Maxye for a succession of DJ sets.

Applause is a blend of shatta, Brazilian funk, grime, breakbeat, kuduro and bass music, with a creative, unifying vision that advocates for an inclusive dancefloor. This crew will take over 22 rue Jobin.

Maxye
Maxye is a DJ, curator and artistic director. After several years in Berlin she returns to France with a confident vision nourished by clubs, radio and international dancefloors. Her sets forge connections between Chicago, Berlin and Lagos, between disco, house and darker, more percussive bass textures, driven by rhythm and the desire to create shared moments on the dancefloor.

Matteo
DJ, producer and co‑founder of the group Chinese Man, Matteo explores projects and artistic discoveries. With a signature that spans hip‑hop, afro, baile funk, shatta, gqom and bouyon, he offers dance‑forward sets. In 2023 he launched “Applause,” a party concept mixing kuduro, shatta, baile funk, bass music, grime, breakbeat, 2‑step garage and hip‑hop, with the idea of celebrating diversity in dance and joy.

Artem
Rather than confining herself to boxes, Artem builds her sets and productions around rhythm and a physical energy. She moves between deep bass, rapid percussion and club music. Known for her technique and seamless blends, she aims to share a moment on the dancefloor.

Lorkestra
Originally from the Paris suburbs, Lorkestra grew up in an environment rich in cultural influences. Their universe moves between afro bass, bouyon, grime, Brazilian funk, gqom, UK garage, kuduro, batida, bubbling, UK funky and soca, weaving a hybrid, electronic style. Their productions have been played on platforms such as Soulection, Keep Hush, BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM and Triple J.
