Only The Poets

Reading alt-pop outfit Only The Poets will play L’Alhambra in Paris on 16 September 2026 with a set designed for live performance. Fronted by Tommy Longhurst’s voice, the guitar–bass–drums quartet injects 80s synth-pop touches into direct songwriting, balancing melodic guitars with immediate choruses. Their debut album, And I’d Do It Again, released in January 2026, features fourteen tracks that probe sorrow, jealousy, regret and resilience, with crisp pop production by Clem Cherry, Marcus Yates and DanDlion.

Highlights include standout tracks “Emotionally Hungover”, “Guess She’s Cool” and “Madeline”, as well as the singles “I Keep On Messing It Up”, “Saké” and “Bad”, all crafted to be reprised and stretched out on stage. Forged by intense European touring and opening slots for Lewis Capaldi, YUNGBLUD, Bastille and The Wombats, Only The Poets have honed a live approach that prioritizes closeness with the audience and a building intensity, moving between taut ballads and bursts of pop. A concert where the sincerity of the lyrics meets collective energy, without excessive showmanship.
