Erra and Currents bring a progressive-leaning metalcore lineup to SWG3 Glasgow on 10 November 2026. Fronted by guitarist-composer Jesse Cash, Erra has built its sound around technical riffing, atmospheric layers and the balance between screamed and melodic vocals. From the early Andromeda EP and debut album Impulse to Augment, Drift and Neon, the band has refined complex structures without losing weight or clarity. The self-titled album in 2021 sharpened the melodic thread, and Cure in 2024 pushed contrasts further, opening room for broader textures on stage.
Currents, from the Connecticut scene, blend tight, syncopated riffs with clear/harsh vocal shifts and ambient passages. After Life // Lost, the group stepped up with The Place I Feel Safest, then leaned into darker melodies on the EP I Let the Devil In. The Way It Ends explored dynamics and tempo breaks, while The Death We Seek in 2023 balanced rhythmic bite with discreet electronics and introspective themes.
Opening the night, Leeds outfit Caskets lines heavy guitars with synth touches and big vocal hooks, from Lost Souls to Reflections, shaping a melodic, modern take on metalcore.
