Sam Barker has continually pushed against the boundaries and conventions of techno music. He has released music on Smalltown Supersound, including 2025’s Stochastic Drift, as well as on Ostgut Ton. He co-founded the club night and record label Leisure System and remains committed to collaboration and experimentation. Recent projects, including collaborations with Kay Sievers (AKA Version Duo) and Norwegian saxophonist Bendik Giske, reflect this approach.
On 24 September 2026 at 17h00 at Zenner Saal, he performs a 180-minute uninterrupted live set.
The night also features Discrete Ensemble, a collaborative installation by Sam Barker and Kay Sievers with 8 automated acoustic string instruments, a living sound sculpture where each step transforms the music.
