Max Cooper

On July 9, 2026, Max Cooper presents his Live AV Feeling Is Structure at Théâtre Fairmount in Montreal. A producer born in Belfast and based in London, and a former genetics researcher, he develops an approach to electronic composition that bridges electronica, melodic techno, ambient and experimental music. His tracks pay close attention to rhythmic detail, stretch textures and progress like narratives, with a taste for sonic architectures and the correspondences between science and music.

On stage, Cooper pushes this approach into an audiovisual format conceived as a cycle in which image and sound respond to one another. Projects such as Human, Emergence, One Hundred Billion Sparks and Yearning for the Infinite have shaped this language, located between generative visualizations, mathematical motifs and slow-building tension. With his Mesh platform he has multiplied collaborations with digital artists to refine a setup that transforms data, geometry and emotion into sensorial, tangible material. Feeling Is Structure extends this research: a live set where ambient layers and melodic pulses interlock, and where scenography becomes an integral part of the composition.
