MEUTE

On 29 April 2027 at Manchester Academy, Oxford Road, Manchester, MEUTE bring their acoustic take on club music to the stage. Formed in Hamburg, the eleven-piece techno marching band translates techno, house and deep house into arrangements for brass and percussion, swapping synths and laptops for sousaphones, trombones, trumpets and marching drums. First noticed with a filmed street version of Âme’s Rej, the group built a repertoire that reimagines tracks by Laurent Garnier, Disclosure, Dennis Ferrer or Deadmau5 while keeping the steady pulse and repetitive patterns of dance music.

Live, MEUTE work like a rhythm engine and a horn section in constant dialogue, stacking riffs, breaks and crescendos to move the room without electronics. Their albums Tumult (2017), Live in Paris (2019), Puls (2020), Taumel (2022) and Empor (2024) trace their shift from reworks to original compositions, a path they now bring on tour. The result is a concert that sits between street fanfare and club set, played entirely live, with the collective drive of eleven musicians shaping a continuous, physical groove.
