Info

SiM land at O2 Institute Birmingham on January 25, 2027 with their sharp blend of heaviness and groove. Formed in the Shonan area of Kanagawa in 2004, the quartet — MAH on vocals, SHOW-HATE on guitar, SIN on bass and GODRi on drums — fuses metalcore and nu metal with ska-punk bounce, reggae rock, dub textures and a touch of hip-hop. Live, that mix flips from down-tuned riffs and syncopated rhythms to skank breaks and big, singable hooks.

Across Silence iz Mine, Seeds of Hope, Pandora and The Beautiful People, the band tightened its songwriting without losing impact. Later releases — the album Thank God, There Are Hundreds of Ways to Kill Enemies, the Beware EP and Playdead — push the contrast further, stacking pit-ready sections against echo-drenched slow burns. If you came through anime, expect The Rumbling and Under the Tree to hit alongside older staples, reworked for the stage.

Road-tested on major Japanese stages and international bills from Budokan to Ozzfest meets Knotfest, SiM bring a set that moves fast and keeps the energy shifting. Birmingham gets the hybrid sound at full scale.
