On 3 June 2026 at 4:45 PM at La Mécanique Ondulatoire, Brown Spirits, from Melbourne, carves a path between motorik krautrock, free jazz, psychedelic funk and long cosmic excursions. The first Australian band signed to Soul Jazz Records, the trio relies on a DIY approach and delivers intense performances.
With Cosmic Seeds, their latest album, Brown Spirits continues its sonic explorations, combining hypnotic grooves, analogue synths and soaring, spacey improvisations.
Guests:
- TOC: an unclassifiable French trio formed in 2008, TOC navigates between jazz-core, krautrock, noise, post-rock and hypnotic improvisation, existing in a constant tension between trance, chaos and groove.
- Couteau: alongside them, Couteau, a Franco-Argentinian duo based in Montpellier, injects post-punk and krautnoise energy, fuelled by repetitive rhythms, machines and saturated guitars.
