On 16 November 2026 Waylon Wyatt will be at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The songwriter from Hackett, Arkansas grew up on country, red dirt, folk and Americana, and blends those influences effortlessly. His voice and acoustic guitar form the heart of the set, with lyrics that hit close to home: family stories, faith, loss and the everyday life on the road. After the breakthrough of Everything Under the Sun his rise was swift, but live he remains down-to-earth and focused on the song. From the debut EP Til the Sun Goes Down (2024) come tracks such as Arkansas Diamond and Phoning Heaven, a song that carries the grief for his brother. With Out of the Blue (2025) he opens the sonic palette to a band setting and tour tales, without losing intimacy. Expect a show that shifts between sparsely stripped-down ballads and fuller arrangements, where echoes of Tyler Childers, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash meet phrasing that at times borders on hip-hop.
