The Hidden Cameras is the brainchild of Joel Gibb, a Canadian, Berlin-based artist and musician. In previous years Gibb has filled out the stage with a band of both classical and self-taught musicians. Playing guitar with simultaneous percussive elements, he recently completed a co-headlining tour with Owen Pallett throughout Europe, with Pallett (an early Cameras member) singing and performing alongside Gibb, who played violin, guitar and loop station.
At his roots a singer and songwriter, Gibb experiments in many genres and performance styles, and has collaborated with artists including Mocky, Feist, Patrick Wolf, Chilly Gonzales, Ron Sexsmith, Pet Shop Boys, Rufus Wainwright and R.E.M. Gibb’s current show offers an intimate set of songs and interpretations.
