Info
Cleveland death metal outfit 200 Stab Wounds lands at DUST, 77 East Street, Brighton and Hove, on 8 August 2026. Formed in the late 2010s around guitarist-vocalist Steve Buhl, the band channels a direct, old-school strain of death metal refreshed with dense mid-tempo grooves, sharp tempo shifts and cavernous vocals. Their first splash came with the 2020 EP Piles of Festering Decomposition, then the debut album Slave to the Scalpel in 2021, a set of compact tracks driven by heavy riffing, thrash accents and a taste for gore-soaked imagery.
Manual Manic Procedures, released in 2024, pushed the formula further: thicker production, more developed twin-guitar lines and structures that stretch without losing impact. On stage, 200 Stab Wounds condense these elements into tight, hard-hitting songs that swing between churning rhythms, chainsaw downstrokes and sudden bursts of speed. The set leans on Manual Manic Procedures and revisits key cuts from Slave to the Scalpel, sticking to what defines them live: direct writing, muscular grooves and a contemporary edge rooted in 1990s death metal.
