Afriquoi perform at Strange Brew on 26 June 2026 at 6:00 pm. Live African dance music, fusing Congolese guitar and Gambian kora with UK electronic sensibilities to create dancefloor-friendly music.
Afriquoi are a group bringing a fusion of African music and live electronics. The five-piece live show combines Gambian kora, Congolese guitar and Mandinka percussion with electronic music drawing on house, garage, disco, soul and jungle.
Based in London, Afriquoi are a UK Afro-fusion group, with each musician a bandleader in their own right. With members ranging in age across three decades, originating from Africa, the Caribbean and the UK, Afriquoi bring together musical knowledge, culture and life experience.
