On June 6, M.I.C and Nammy Wams will bring their current project Shamtarctica live to the Jaki. The mixtape is a deliberate departure from aggressive grime and instead relies on cooler, more ethereal textures to musically explore the themes of winter and climate change.
M.I.C & Nammy Wams (live)
M.I.C comes from the London scene and gained recognition in 2018 after receiving support from Frank Ocean. His style ranges from lo-fi grime to high-energy performances. He is joined by Nammy Wams, a producer from Croydon and founder of the label AP Life, who is known for his forward-thinking drill and club sound.
Phillip Jondo
The SPA co-founder and long-time NTS resident will host the evening. Jondo is known for his experimental sets, in which he blends different genres through precise layering without adhering to conventional boundaries. In addition to the live performance, there will be DJ sets from Nammy Wams, Phillip Jondo and other guests.
