On 10 February 2027, Delain and Infected Rain will set up their amps at Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg).
Led by keyboardist and composer Martijn Westerholt, Delain has carved out a line since 2002 between European symphonic metal and direct melody. Massive guitars, prominent keyboards, carefully crafted choruses: the formula has evolved from album to album, from the early Lucidity to the recent Dark Waters (2023). Revitalized with a renewed line-up and the voice of Diana Leah, the band has tightened its songwriting without losing the expansive arrangements that are its signature. On stage, the quintet moves between orchestral surges, more rock-oriented passages and tension-building climaxes driven by the keyboards.
Formed in Chișinău, Infected Rain blends nu metal, metalcore and groove with subtle electronic textures. Fronted by Lena Scissorhands, alternating clean vocals and screams, the band works with syncopated riffs, contrasting dynamics and a tight, stage-oriented rhythmic drive. From Asylum to Time (2024), the songwriting has opened up to more melody and atmosphere without sacrificing its immediate impact. On stage, this alchemy is expressed in sequences that are both dense and spacious, where the vocals lead the charge and allow more introspective moods to surface.
