Amorphis bring the Borderland Tour 2027 to O2 Ritz Manchester on 2 February 2027. The Finnish metal band blends weight and melody, switching between growled and clean vocals, twin-guitar lines and atmospheric keys. On stage, their tracks move from dense riffs to more spacious, progressive passages, tracing a path from their darker beginnings to a broader, modern sound built on dynamics and detail.
Special guests Insomnium add a distinct take on melodic death metal. Formed in Joensuu, the Finnish group balances mid-tempo power with melancholic atmospheres, harmonised guitars and shifts between force and calm. Their narrative approach on works like Winter’s Gate and Anno 1696 finds an echo live, where tight rhythms open into reflective passages without losing intensity.
Opening the night, Unto Others joins the bill, setting the pace and linking the evening’s heavy side with its more melodic contours.
