The Scratch

The Scratch bring their restless acoustic storm to Electric Bristol in Bristol on 3 February 2027. Formed in Dublin in the late 2010s by former members of metal outfit Red Enemy, the quartet channels hardcore bite through unplugged instruments: rapid acoustic guitars, dry percussion and tight, chanted harmonies. Their songs balance Irish folk roots with punk urgency, rock edges and flashes of metal, keeping a traditional backbone while leaning on rhythm and sharp dynamic shifts.

From early DIY videos to steady touring across Ireland and the UK, the band has shaped a live language that moves as one, trading leads and gang vocals around a single pulse. The set draws on Old Songs (2018) and The Whole Buzz (2019), through Couldn’t Give A Rats (2020) to Mind Yourself (2023), where collective vocals and arrangement nuances come into focus. Acoustic at the surface, The Scratch play with a direct, unvarnished sound that carries the weight of their heavier past without losing a clear, melodic core.
