The View

The View bring their Hats Off to the Buskers 20th Anniversary Tour to Electric Studios, Sheffield, on 5 March 2027. Two decades after their debut put the Dundee band on the map, Kyle Falconer, Kieren Webster and Pete Reilly revisit the songs that lit up indie discos and radio alike. Expect the raw, melodic bite that defined that first record: brisk guitars, punk edges, power-pop hooks and a touch of Celtic swing carried by Falconer’s unmistakable phrasing. Wasted Little DJs and Same Jeans will be front of mind, alongside other cuts that captured a scruffy, street-sharp snapshot of mid-2000s Britain.

Formed in the mid-2000s, The View built their name on sing-along choruses and tight, straight-ahead songwriting, a style they’ve stretched across albums from Which Bitch? and Bread and Circuses to Ropewalk and, more recently, Exorcism of Youth. On stage, Falconer and Webster trade lines and energy, with Reilly’s guitar weaving through the choruses and Jay Sharrock now anchoring the drums. This tour is a chance to hear where it all began, played by a band that still thrives on immediacy and grit.
