Info
On 28 June 2026 at Ormeau Park, Belfast, The Cure take the stage. Formed in Crawley in 1978 around singer-guitarist Robert Smith, the band charted a course from sparse post-punk into darker, minimal goth and later a pop-leaning new wave. Early albums like Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography set the tone with slow tempos and misty atmospheres; The Head on the Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me brought brighter hooks and marked keyboards, while Disintegration deepened the atmospheric pull. Through Wish, Bloodflowers, The Cure and 4:13 Dream, the lineup shifted but the sound held its balance of introspection and urgency, moving live between vaporous ballads and more driving songs.
The Twilight Sad join from Kilsyth, Scotland, with a dense indie sound where post-punk, shoegaze and noise meet. Built around James Graham and Andy MacFarlane, their path runs from Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters through Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave to It Won/t Be Like This All the Time, adding electronic textures and a tense, textured edge. Their long association with The Cure naturally feeds into this bill.
From Dundalk, Ireland, Just Mustard bring a singular blend of shoegaze pressure, trip-hop shadows and post-rock dynamics. Katie Ball’s airy voice threads through distorted guitars, deep bass and sharp sound design across Wednesday, Heart Under and We Were Just Here, balancing hypnotic drift with a clearer, more immediate energy.
