Lola Young

Lola Young plays O2 Academy Brixton in London on 18 June 2026. Raised in south London, the singer-songwriter shapes a sound rooted in soul and contemporary R&B, folded into lean pop writing with touches of jazz and hip-hop. Early on she built a repertoire that moves between piano-led ballads and tighter, beat-driven cuts, a balance heard across her first releases: the EPs Intro (2019), Renaissance (2020) and After Midnight (2021). She later reached a wider audience with a 2021 cover of Together in Electric Dreams, before opening a new chapter with her first album, This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway (2024), where the songwriting leans into narrative detail while keeping an introspective edge.

On stage, Young performs with a band and keeps the focus on delivery and lyrics. This date brings together songs from her EPs and debut album, moving from sparse soul moods to more propulsive tracks, and preserving the stripped-back clarity that underpins her recordings.
