Palace play Somerset House on 17 July 2026 for the Somerset House Summer Series. Formed in London in 2012, the band shape a British alt-rock that leans on supple guitars, muted melancholy and a restrained vocal delivery. Their writing is built on texture and shifts in intensity, favouring ebb and flow over big gestures. The set draws across their catalogue: the early EPs Lost in the Night (2014) and Chase the Light (2015), debut album So Long Forever (2016), Life After (2019), Shoals (2022) and Ultrasound (2024), along with the twin 2023 EPs Part I – When Everything Was Lost and Part II – Nightmares & Ice Cream.

On stage, Leo Wyndham, Rupert Turner, Matt Hodges and Harry Deacon work with space and dynamics, letting clean guitar lines curl around a steady rhythm section while melodies surface gradually. Years on the road and at festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella have sharpened that approach without smoothing out the grain. At Somerset House, they bring it back to their city with a set that moves from slow-build crescendos to quiet, unhurried corners, carried by songs that find their weight in detail rather than volume.
