Info

On 6 March 2027 at EartH in London, Robert Finley brings his Louisiana blues to the stage. Raised in Bernice, he spent years busking and singing gospel before releasing his debut, Age Don’t Mean a Thing, at 62. That album began an ongoing collaboration with Dan Auerbach, leading to Goin’ Platinum, the autobiographical Sharecropper’s Son and Black Bayou, a record steeped in his home state and its stories.

On stage, Finley leans into narrative-driven songs where blues and Southern soul set the tone, with edges of rock’n’roll, jazz and folk. A gravel-edged voice and unhurried phrasing carry working-life tales, love, struggle and dry humor, anchored by grooves that leave space for detail and feel. The set draws across his catalogue, from the grit of Sharecropper’s Son to the slow-burning pull of Black Bayou, tracing a late-blooming path shaped by lived experience and a steady, road-seasoned band.
