Palace Bowl Presents - Mahrajan Festival brings Dystinct to Crystal Palace Bowl, London, on 1 August 2026. Born in Mortsel to a Moroccan family and raised in Antwerp, the Belgian singer-rapper builds a sound that blends modern raï with urban pop, pop-rap and Afro-leaning rhythms. Multilingual by instinct, he moves between Dutch, French, English and Moroccan Arabic, shaping songs that travel easily across scenes and audiences.

First noticed on the Dutch-speaking circuit after a move to Amsterdam, he broke through with tracks like Ya La Laa, then widened his scope by leaning deeper into darija and cross-border influences between the Benelux, France and the Maghreb. His albums Mon Voyage (2021), Layali (2023) and Bababa World (2025) trace that evolution, with melodic hooks and a collaborative mindset. He has worked with Bryan Mg, MHD, Naza, Ricky Rich, Dafina Zeqiri, Gims, Jul and J Balvin; Ghazali with Bryan Mg in 2022 marked a turning point. On stage, his set switches languages with ease and connects scenes through groove-led pop, modern raï textures and sung refrains.
