The Sound of the Apocalypse 2 hits The 1865, Southampton on 8 January 2027. Four revolving line-ups are planned, with headliner and running order decided on the night.
Discharge bring terse, high-velocity hardcore that set the d-beat template, lyrics fixed on war, control and collapse. The sound is dry, fast and percussive, echoing early blasts like Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing as well as later material such as End of Days.
Subhumans come with anarcho-punk urgency, switching from hardcore surges to taut, ska-tinged breaks, words aimed at power, conformity and daily alienation, from The Day the Country Died to Crisis Point. GBH keep it raw and direct with buzzing guitars, shouted hooks and head-down tempos, alongside more names from the UK punk circuit.
