Info
On 4 July 2026 at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, My Chemical Romance bring the Long Live The Black Parade Tour outdoors. Formed in Newark in 2001, Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Mikey Way and Frank Iero blend punk bite, emo tension and post-hardcore edges into sharp, melodic songs. After early days on Eyeball Records with I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, they hit wider audiences with Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, then pushed a full concept with The Black Parade. Danger Days opened a brighter, power-pop and electronic palette before a 2013 split, a 2019 return to the stage, and the 2022 single The Foundations of Decay. Live, the band stitches pace, narrative and imagery into a set that spans Bullets-era urgency, the singalongs from Three Cheers and The Black Parade, and later tracks.
Also on the bill, Idlewild, formed in Edinburgh in 1995, shift from their fast, dissonant beginnings toward a broader, melodic alternative rock. Around Roddy Woomble, Rod Jones and Colin Newton, the group sharpened its writing on 100 Broken Windows and The Remote Part, then kept exploring with Warnings/Promises, Post Electric Blues, Everything Ever Written and Interview Music. On stage, Idlewild line up taut guitars and clean melodies, a focused energy that fits this Glasgow date.
