On 15 May 2026 at KOKO, London, DEADLETTER play a set built around writing, language and a collective sense of movement. Formed in London by a group of friends, they treat the stage less as a place to reproduce songs than as a space for narrative. Their DIY habits run deep: self-organisation, independent circuits and close ties with audiences shape how they play and how their pieces evolve.
The music is written first and performed in sequences: fragments, repetitions and motifs where syntax matters as much as the images it suggests. They work scansion and rupture, stack ideas, and keep a precise feel for timing and the well-placed line. Live, the set can be edited in real time, a song reordered, expanded or saturated with interjections, keeping interaction front and centre without distance, owing as much to literary editing as to a concert.
